About Us
Oasys IT Consulting, LLC was founded in 2002. The company was started during a period when many other companies were going out of business. After the Y2K bubble had burst shortly after 2000 the company's founder, Walter Schoudel, found himself in a rapidly shrinking organization that went from roughly a 50 person company at it's peak down to a 4 person operation when it's remediation business dried up. This small group finally achieved profitability due in large measure to the burgeoning infrastructure and network security consultation where Walter had effectively kept clients coming back for more. Shortly thereafter the remaining 4 person group was acquired by a much larger 100 person hardware re-seller that was looking to diversify. About a year later the dot com bubble had finally burst and it wasn't long before the hardware resale business went out of business too.
Finding himself nearly last man standing, after this string of downsizing, acquisitions, and further downsizing, all the while maintaining and growing a satisfied and eager to continue client base, Walter recognized a need and an opportunity to continue to utilize his specific engineering and consultative talents - that and a strong desire to continue to accomplish great things for the dedicated clients he'd been working for already for many years, he decided to strike out on his own and founded the business which still to this day continues to serve all of those very same clients - some having relationships with our founder stretching back as far as 1998, prior to the company's founding.
It's due to a high degree of focus and attention to each customer's unique needs, responsiveness, dedication, and competence, instilled by our founder - that we've been able to maintain and build upon these important client relationships.
Our engineers and programmers have decades of experience in areas ranging from hardware infrastructure, network design and security, systems and application design/architecture and development, project management, system migrations and upgrades, disaster recovery and business continuity planning, virtual / cloud computing, as well as assistance with day to day IT operations and level 1 through 3 support.
At the end of the day it's all about the customer and whether or not their needs and expectations, have been met or exceeded. Most of our clients have been with us for at least ten to fifteen years - there is no better testament about our dedication to our clients and their businesses than the longevity of our relationships.
The focus is also of course on the technology and the engineering. Our consultants are passionate about technology and building the right solution for the customer - resolving difficult to solve problems, and coming up with sensible designs and long term cost effective solutions. Keeping up to date on the latest technology trends and making effective determinations about what new technologies would make a best fit to help a customer accomplish their goals - this is a gratifying experience and we all know how lucky we are to be doing what we love and helping customers at the same time.
